Obama/Chimp cartoon totally tasteless and ridiculous.

First, I must say that I found the dead chimp cartoon totally tastelss and do not support any cartoon that suggest murder or either animal or human nature. Second, the author of that cartoon was totally off base.

- Paying taxes does not make a person a citizen. In fact, the IRS should have been suspicious of a him and should have required that he provide a certified copy of his green card. They, like the rest of the federal government, are responsible for letting the situation get out of control.

- Mary J, I believe the current requirements for citizenship include basic ENGLISH reading and writing skills. If these people are not willing to learn those skills, then they need to go home.

Just in case you have not noticed, a significant portion of the United States is owned by foreign countries such as China and Japan; where is your outrage at that situation. Our children will have a real problem in the future with that issue if the current trend continues. I am more concerned about that than I am about some honorary degree that ASU is debating for President Obama (Most colleges/universities do award honorary degrees to their commencement speakers, I am on faculty at a 4 year university). Obama has demonstrated that he has the intellectual ability to EARN his academic degrees so the fact that ASU has changed its mind probably does not rank high on President Obama's list of priorities. You keep making snide little remarks that indicate to me that you may have some type of issue with Obama and his education. What - may I ask is your own level of education? I find the education issue and your apparent position totally fascinating considering the fact that former president bush was as dumb/stupid as a doornail and the republican party ticket was dominated by mccain who barely graduated, his scores were so low he was not allowed to march with the class and there are several airplane accidents that point to consistent pilot error on his part, and palin who is obviously running on empty cylinders - she thinks she had an advantage in foreign policy because she could see Russia. I find your conversation intriguing to say the least! Please allow this man, who was elected by a majority (unlike the first bush/gore fiasco) to get on with the business of running this country. Any division in this country was not caused by President Obama, but rather stupid people who continue to believe that the presidency of the US is still a white man's birthright!
